SATURDAYS 12PM-2PM Starting November 15th Class Show is Saturday, December 27th $150 - improvise scenes - learn to find and use the subtext of the scene to build patterns, explore characters, deepen relationships, & heighten stakes. - discover ways to shape sketches & create structure - be part of a group that is supportive with a growth mindset - Perform for friends and family in a class show In this inviting, open, creative space, Kelly Kreye will help guide students through the process of how to create great sketch comedy through the wonders of improvisation. Working together students will improvise scenes which will then be used as the basis of creating sketches. We will enjoy the process of turning raw improv into a structured sketch—finding the subtext, building characters, creating realities to play through, and heightening and exploring the comedy. Scenes will then be developed, rehearsed, and memorized into sketches. At the end of the class, performers will perform a full 30 minute sketch show in front of friends, family, and our community.
